“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” Virginia Woolf
Sandi Graham, Owner
It was a long-time dream to own a cooking and sewing school. I (finally) opened Vintage Kitchen after 27 years of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences at middle school, high school, and college levels as well as teaching undergraduate and graduate nutrition courses.
I have earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Home Economics and Nutrition from Mansfield State University and a Master of Sciences in Community Nutrition with an emphasis in Sports Nutrition from Georgia State University.
Cooking classes at Vintage Kitchen are designed to incorporate food science, time-management, nutrition, and, most importantly, fun. You need to eat to live, so you may as well enjoy the process!
Helen Allen joins us to bring her cooking experience to our classes. She is has been a private chef, worked overnight in local bakeries (yum!) and is now the Chef Manager at Villa St. Joseph.
Jamie organizes Tastefully Simple Meal Workshops at Vintage Kitchen. She the Sticky Fingers 4-H Leader for our cooking club. Jamie is our “Executive Creative Director” aka idea maker! You can follow her on Facebook at Tastefully Simple with Jamie Davis.
Kristen is our cake decorating diva! Her full-time position is at Wegman’s as a cake decorator and baker. She teaches our cake decorating classes and serves as the 4-H Leader for the Cake Bosses 4-H Club. She can teach anyone how to make great looking cakes (and her buttercream is to die for!)
Gemma is our world traveler! She is particularly versed in Japanese cooking. You will see her teaching our Sushi Party and Noodle Bowl classes at Vintage Kitchen. You can follow her adventures in travel and cooking at https://travelinggemblog.wordpress.com/.
